A system-wide dark mode named Dark Theme was introduced into Android 10 as part of the Android OS.

Users can enable it through the following methods:

  • Go to the Settings app
  • The app then turn on the dark theme by clicking Display

You can also get to Quick Settings by pulling it down from the top of the screen. The on/off switch is in the Quick Settings. The pencil icon is located at the bottom of the Quick Settings menu. If you don’t see it, pull it down. Click on the Dark theme and drag it into the main menu. Android 10 and many of Google’s apps will switch to the Dark theme as soon as you click it.

It depends on the phone you have whether it supports Android 10 or not. If you go to the display settings, you may be able to switch on a dark theme. Dark themes do usually come with some restrictions, however.
